That sense of yearningit seems all you've got and what makes you come running
is the promise of another year of clearing brush for burning
That's the problem
There just never seems to be much in the hollow
You've got to follow
the water line and go looking for some
Downed trees with long gone leaves
so you know it's dry enough for burning
You've got to make it take a light
You don't want to get caught out freezing at night
with a pile of smoking logs
You'll need that heat to stay alive
Just make this your focus now
You've got to provide
But can you quantify
the will to survive?
Do what you've got to do to be OK
You know the way
You don't have to listen to anyone
Don't take your medicine
You don't have to change a bloody thing
Stay highly functioning it's the honest way
So what if you sit around
in the dark all day feeling afraid
You still know you are better than everyone
