i woke up with the funk todayin the pit of my soul
and my will to win was gone away
i'm afraid of being low
there's a knock under the hood
i'm twenty miles outside of town
there's never traffic on this road
this is no place to break down
i promised myself that i
wouldn't go for that drive
why would i ever think that i could
walk that far
it's gonna be a long day
i just need to get up
i just need to walk away from it for a little while
i've been soaking in it an iron kettle over the fire
it's boiling hot now i've gotta go
i keep telling myself
i should never ask myself why
i'm counting down the seconds until i can
walk that far
it's gonna be a long day
